The Denver County
Cultural Council (DCCC) is the grant review council for Denver's
Tier III SCFD funds. Thirteen and one-half percent of Denver County's
Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) tax funds are
granted to local arts, cultural and scientific nonprofit organizations
annually. Each year the members of the DCCC review grant applications
and determine the allocations to each qualifying Tier III organization.
Denver City
Council appoints this eleven-member cultural council. The council
consists of a representative of the Office of Cultural Affairs,
the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Denver
Public Schools, and eight members selected at-large from applications
submitted by individuals interested in serving on the council. Members
of the DCCC are residents of Denver, at least 21 years of age, not
currently a volunteer or paid staff person of an organization applying
for Tier III funding, and willing to disclose any conflict of interest.
They also reflect the ethnic, social, demographic, and geographic
diversity and composition of the City of Denver
